Am I such a MOM, now that I'm posting about nappies?! Yup. I think I am.
Before I say anything, I'd just like to clarify that yup, this is indeed a #sponsored post, but before you roll your eyes and log on off, please know that this is all my own, honest, brutal opinions. When I fell pregnant, one of the most nerve-wrecking thoughts for me, revolved around "which brand of nappies will my baby use?!" or "I need her to never experience nappy rash!" and everything else in that realm. Having siblings with children (and lots of them,) I always knew that there was a slight possibility of my baby reacting to certain brands and being born into a family with the skin complexities of ours, I knew that the possibility was most likely a probability. One consistent thing which I was told by most people, was that Pampers was their trusted brand. For a first-time mom, it's always reassuring hearing of other people's POSITIVE experiences (please stop telling moms all about your negative ones!) Anyway, so based on people's recommendations, we stocked up on some pampers (I say "some" because daaang, nappies are HELLA expensive!) and we hoped for the best. Thankfully our little girl has had no reaction to any brand of nappy, so truthfully, we have bounced between Pampers and another brand, (due to the fact that there's always a shortage of Size 1 nappies when we go and purchase.) But I can wholeheartedly back this brand, without second thought.
I love that Pampers is constantly trying to improve their product and brand, and keep up with the times. Environmental, financial, circumstantial influences are forever changing and evolving, so it's awesome for a brand to match their product with those changes. One such recent improvement, is their Pampers Baby-Dry #PampersAirMagic Nappy. This wonderful nappy has been designed to provide your bambino with up to 12 hours of dryness, using 2 air-channels which lessen moisture in and around baby's privates by directing air flow to your babe's bottom, preventing a cesspool of such, and thus protecting his/her bum from the dreaded nappy rash (absolutely nobody wants their baby to experience that level of discomfort and pain.) Now, while I don't believe in only changing their nappy every 12 hours, I mean... Would you walk around with soiled underwear for that long? Uh... Yeh.
It does for suuure help with the night-time stretch! The thought of not having to change a nappy every 2-3 hours, during the night... Now that's a sound of beauty. (Also, please still change their nappy after every poo. We're just talking about a "number 1" here.) Now while improvements are always incredible, sometimes you should also keep what works! And thankfully they haven't done away with what we all know and love, such as: Anti-Leakage Barriers, Absorbent Micro-Pearls, a Dry Layer, Baby Lotion, New Designs (which are UH-DORABLE) and Wetness Indicators on smaller sizes (which are life savers!) Currently the nappies (which are identified by the #AirChannel symbols) are only available in bigger sizes (but keep your eye out for the smaller ones) and retail for about R230 across all major retailers (in South Africa.)
